Ishaa Koppikar was born on 19 September 1976 in Mumbai, India. She is an Indian actress and model. She has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films.
She studied at Ramnarain Ruia College in Mumbai and studied Life Science. While in college, she did a model shoot for Gautam Rajadhyaksha. She took part in the 1995 Miss India Contest, winning the Miss Talent Crown.
“Ek Tha Dil Ek Thi Dhadhkan” Hindi film(1997), directed by Shahrukh Sultan, is often quoted as being Ishaa Koppikar's first film, but there is no evidence the film was ever released. Koppikar's career must therefore be said to have begun with the 1998 Tamil film Kaadhal Kavithai, co-starring alongside Prashanth, and directed by Agathyan.
